The Bible is a collection of 66 books, written over a period of thousands of years by dozens of authors. More than that though, it is the inspired Word of God. At its heart the Bible is one story, that of how a holy, almighty God relates to a fallen and sinful people. At the center of that story is Jesus. There is no better place to begin that at the beginning.
This website attempts to provide an overview of the entire Bible, a process that will take a year or two to complete. The best way to truly study the scriptures is to take one book at a time and go verse by verse, chapter by chapter. This is merely a survey, a general overview, to help the reader understand the major themes, or high points, of the Bible. This is the first step to take in becoming a lifelong student of scripture. I personally have been studying the Bible for over 20 years, but even while teaching will never cease to be a student.
